International Doll Day was initiated by Mildred Seeley in 1986 to celebrate not only dolls, but also the caring love of their owners. <\/p>\n<p>Mildred Seeley (1918 &#8211; 2001) was a doll collector and entrepreneur. She also wrote numerous books on the subjects of &#8220;doll making&#8221; and &#8220;doll collecting&#8221;.
