Regular school meals are one of the most effective tools for promoting education in rural regions. A reliable meal directly improves children’s concentration, health and ability to learn. At the same time, school attendance increases and parents send their children to school more regularly.
The WeCare-Association specifically supports schools in the Kajiado district with school feeding programs – supplemented by water deliveries in places where food preparation would otherwise not be possible.
2025 a total of 245,160 meals were provided in three schools with around 750 pupils.
